Sabrina's mother, Garnet Huffman, passed away yesterday afternoon. Sabrina and her sister Sue were at her side. She died peacefully. There will be a private service for her family at the graveside on Thursday. We wish Sabrina and her family the best in this time of transition.
I've always liked this prayer from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer:
"Support us, Lord, all the day long, until the shadows lengthen, and the evening comes, the busy world is hushed, the fever of life is over, and our work done; then Lord, in your mercy, give us safe lodging, a holy rest and peace at the last."
May light perpetual shine upon her.
